Polyaluminium Chloride, also commonly known as polymeric aluminium chloride/PAC/hydroxyaluminium chloride or polymeric aluminium is a water-soluble inorganic polymer formed by the hydrolytic polymerization of aluminium salts (e.g. aluminium trichloride, aluminium sulphate, alum, etc.) under certain conditions, with the chemical formula [Al₂(OH)ₙCl₆₋ ₙ]. ₘ. It is mainly used as flocculant in the treatment of drinking water, production water and industrial sewage (such as oily sewage, printing and dyeing, paper sewage, steel mill sewage, etc.), as well as the treatment of high toxicity heavy metals and fluorine-containing sewage, etc.; In addition, it has a wide range of uses in the areas of precision casting, tanning, and so on.
