Overview of wastewater quality and quantity:
The oilfield produces about 1000 cubic meters of oil well wastewater per day, in which the oil content is as high as 500mg/L on average, the mineralization degree reaches 10,000mg/L, and it contains traces of heavy metals and suspended solids. For this kind of complex water quality, this project has designed a set of efficient treatment process flow.
The treatment process flow is explained in detail:
Pre-treatment stage:
Wastewater first enters the grease trap to remove most of the oil through natural sedimentation and oil-water separation principle.
Subsequently, the wastewater enters the air flotation device, which utilizes the flotation effect of microbubbles to further remove fine oil droplets and suspended matter.
Finally, solid particles such as sand and mud are removed through the settling tank, laying a good foundation for subsequent treatment.
Primary treatment stage:
In this stage, wastewater is added with high quality polymerized aluminum chloride and polyacrylamide produced by Yuxinhuan as coagulants. These two agents have excellent coagulation performance and can effectively promote the colloidal particles and suspended matter in the wastewater to aggregate into larger flocs.
The coagulated wastewater enters the sedimentation tank, where the flocs are settled and separated by gravity to further remove oil and suspended matter.
Next, the wastewater is again subjected to air flotation for complete removal of residual oil droplets and suspended matter.
Secondary treatment stage:
The wastewater passes through a sand filtration unit to remove larger solid particles and impurities.
It then enters an activated carbon filtration system, which utilizes the adsorption properties of activated carbon to remove residual pollutants such as organic matter and heavy metal ions.
Finally, the wastewater is treated by reverse osmosis membrane technology to effectively remove salts and other dissolved pollutants, ensuring that the effluent water quality meets the requirements for reuse.
Post-treatment stage:
The wastewater passes through chlorine dioxide disinfection device to kill potential pathogenic microorganisms and ensure that the effluent water is safe and harmless.
The treated water meets the reuse standard and is used in the oilfield’s water injection operation, realizing the recycling of wastewater.
Summary of treatment effect:
After the above treatment process, the oil content in the wastewater was successfully reduced to less than 10mg/L, the mineralization was reduced to less than 500mg/L, and the content of heavy metals and suspended solids all reached the reuse standard. This project not only realizes the effective treatment and recycling of wastewater, but also significantly reduces the impact on the environment and saves valuable water resources. The polymerized aluminum chloride and polyacrylamide provided by YuXinHuan as the key coagulants played an important role in improving the treatment efficiency and water quality.
